The David Strawn Art Gallery

Welcome to The Art Association of Jacksonville’s website!!

The Art Association of Jacksonville was chartered in 1875. On February 19th, 1915 Dr. David Strawn deeded the home to The Art Association of Jacksonville to be used as an art gallery. The David Strawn Art Gallery has held continuous art exhibits from 1915 to present.

The mission of The Art Association of Jacksonville is to increase awareness and appreciation of a variety of visual art media through exhibits, classes, and workshops, and to maintain the historic building housing the David Strawn Art Gallery.
